What is Project Bubble?
Project Bubble is a simple and easy-to-use project management tool that has a CRM for managing your clients, time tracking, plus the ability to create invoices and estimates for your projects. It has been designed to be a non-cluttered, simple system that is a 'breath of fresh air' for those who are fed up with using overcomplicated and bloated project management systems.Do collaborators or staff have to pay to use Project Bubble?
No, as long as your main administrator account is upgraded it will be completely free for any users who are attached to your company.What about security? Is my data secure?
Yes, and you can read all about the security infrastructure we have put in place here. Our servers are looked after by a very well known and reputable company called Rackspace and we are Thawte secured.Who uses Project Bubble?
We are trusted by thousands of users around the world and we get great testimonials almost daily! We have users mostly in the US, but also in the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Russia, Hong Kong and lots of other countries.Can my data be imported from other services?
Yes, we offer a free migration service, just contact us to find out more. You can also do it yourself if you have a CSV of the client and contact data. Just click on Import Clients or Import Contacts at the bottom of the page and upload your CSV.Can we switch off the billing aspect of Project Bubble?
Yes, you can simply edit your permissions (or those of your users) and disable the aspects you don't want to use, for example the billing and estimates features.Do you offer a 'white label' solution or custom domain?
Yes. If you feel you need the system completely branded as your own then we do offer a white label solution to partner companies. The Max plan ($99 pm) was set up just for this reason. With it you can remove our branding, and have Bubble on your domain using a CNAME redirect. If you just want the custom domain then we offer this on the Large Team plan also.Do you have an iPhone app or an API?
We have an API and we encourage our users to develop applications (iPhone and Desktops apps for example) that integrate with our API. We want to focus on providing an excellent web based service, and let the clever people do the mobile application side, so if you are a developer have a look at our API and get building your own apps! We hope to have an iPhone app soon, but you can still access the site from a mobile.Can I switch plans once I sign up?
Yes you can change plans at any time once you are signed up. All plans come with a 15 day free trial.Are there any long term contracts?
No, there are no long term contracts with Project Bubble. You simply pay for each month that you use the service and can cancel at any time. If you want to keep your data stored with us then you can keep your account open using the Free plan, or just delete your account and its data instantly.
Getting Started
Can I create project templates?
Yes you simply create a project with a set of tasks that are going to be the same, save the project as something like "Template" and then just duplicate the project by clicking the options button. This is covered in our Tutorials section.How do I add billable time to a project or task?
Make sure you set up the hourly / daily rate by clicking on Advanced Options in the Edit Project page, and then begin tracking your time in the Tasks page.How do I set a fixed price to a task?
Just click on Edit Task, then Show Billing Details and select Fixed Price from the dropdown. You can then enter your fixed price and it will override the daily/hourly rate. This is covered in our Tutorials section.Can I use my own domain?
Yes if you sign up to the Large Team plan then you can use your own custom domain, e.g. clients.yourdomain.com. If you sign up to the Max plan you can have email notifications sent through your own company email address and have our branding completely removed - so your clients won't know anything about us!
Sharing Projects
How do I share projects with my clients?
Just invite your client as a User and set their access to "Visibility only" for projects and tasks. Then just invite them to a project. For those on the Freelancer plan simply go to your Projects page, and click on the Magnifying glass (opens the View Project page). As long as the project is set to Public (from the edit page) then you can simply share this URL with your client. They will be able to view the tasks, watch the progress of the project, and even subscribe to an RSS feed of the project. This is covered in our Tutorials section.How do I assign a task or project to a team member?
- Firstly, invite your user(s) by clicking on the Users tab. Select the permission you want to give them, e.g. Project Manager (they can create projects, edit etc), Collaborator just lets them track time, add notes and comments.
- Then Go to your Projects page, Add or Edit your project then select the newly added user in the Drop Down. Click Add. Your user will be sent an email telling them they are a part of a project. They can now add notes, comments to that project.
- If you add a task you can assign the task to a collaborator by clicking their name so it goes green. This will then show up on their calendar and Tasks list so they know they have something they should be getting on with.
Can clients respond to comments through email?
Yes your clients (or collaborators) are able to respond to the email notifications they receive. The replies will be automatically threaded to the conversation within the project (or task).
