FAQs

Here are some questions we get asked often...

  1. What is Project Bubble?
Project Bubble is a simple and easy-to-use project management tool that has a CRM for managing your clients, plus the ability to create invoices and estimates for your projects. It has been designed to be a non-cluttered, simple system that is a 'breath of fresh air' for those who are fed up with using overcomplicated and bloated project management systems.

  2. Is it Free?
There is a free plan available that gives you 5 projects, clients, invoices and estimates. Once you run out of projects we suggest you delete or archive your old projects and invoices and if you do this Project Bubble will be free for you forever! Otherwise if you can spare $7 per month we suggest you go on the Solo plan.

  3. When upgrading, which account should I go for?
If you work in a team or you want to share projects, upload files and make comments then the Small Business plan should be perfect for your business at $19 per month. Otherwise if you are a freelancer and need just 1 user then select the Solo plan which will give you unlimited clients.

  4. Do collaborators or staff have to pay to use Project Bubble?
No, as long as your main administrator account is upgraded it will be completely free for any users who are attached to your company.

  5. What about security? Is my data secure?
Yes, and you can read all about the security infrastructure we have put in place here. Our servers are looked after by a very well known and reputable company called Rackspace and we will soon be Verisign secured and Truste certified.

  6. Who uses Project Bubble?
We are trusted by thousands of small businesses around the world and we get great testimonials almost daily!

  7. Can my data be imported from other services?
Yes, we offer a free migration service, just contact us to find out more. You can also do it yourself if you have a CSV of the client and contact data. Just click on Import Clients or Import Contacts at the bottom of the page and upload your CSV.

  8. How many files can I upload and what is the file limit?
As long as you are on the Small Business plan it's unlimited! Unlike other project management services we don't cap the filesize, neither do we give you a quota for the amount of files you can upload. However we do encourage our users to use a service like DropBox for uploading files. We also recommend that you only use Project Bubble for uploading PDFs, DOCs, images and small ZIP files. This is what we call a 'fair usage policy' and we may be in touch if we feel you could benefit from using a 3rd party storage system instead.

  9. Do you offer a 'white label' solution?
Yes. If you feel you need the system completely branded as your own then we do offer a white label solution to partner companies. Please get in touch with us and we can discuss it.

  10. How do I share projects with my clients without them needing an account?
Simply go to your Projects page, and click on the Magnifying glass (opens the View Project page). As long as the project is set to Public (from the edit page) then you can simply share this URL with your client. They will be able to view the tasks, watch the progress of the project, post comments and even subscribe to an RSS feed of the project.

  11. Do you have an iPhone app or an API?
We have an API and we encourage our users to develop applications (iPhone and Desktops apps for example) that integrate with our API. We want to focus on providing an excellent web based service, and let the clever people do the mobile application side, so if you are a developer have a look at our API and get building your own apps! We hope to have an iPhone app soon, but you can still access the site from a mobile.
